Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using PlainSight, you agree to them. PlainSight provides informational analytics and is not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and PlainSight — Insightful Actions ("PlainSight — Insightful Actions," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the web application at plainsightai.app and related features (the "Service"). PlainSight — Insightful Actions is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or related to any other company using the name "PlainSight." If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. The community (section 11a) is for people 18 and older.

3. The Service

PlainSight analyzes spreadsheets and transaction data you provide — in your browser — to produce plain-language summaries, industry benchmarks, narratives, charts, and downloadable reports. The Service is offered on an evolving basis: we may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time, and newer features may occasionally change or be unavailable. We aim for accuracy but do not guarantee that every output is complete or error-free.

4. Accounts

Some features require an account, created and secured through our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may create a free account; certain features require a paid plan.

5. Plans, billing, and cancellations

The Service offers a free tier, one or more paid subscription plans ("Pro," billed monthly or annually), and one-time purchases ("Report packs"). Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Key points:

• Recurring billing. Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You retain paid access until then.
• One-time purchases. Report packs are single, non-recurring purchases and are consumed as described at the time of purchase.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review the situation in good faith.
• Price changes. We may change prices; changes apply to future billing periods and, where required, we will give you advance notice.
• Taxes. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout.

6. Your data and content

You retain all rights to the data and files you analyze. As described in our Privacy Policy, that data is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to or stored by us (aside from the opt-in ledger-photo feature). We claim no ownership of your content and do not use it to train AI models. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any data you input.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; upload content you don't have the right to use, or that infringes others' rights or privacy; attempt to breach, disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the security, access controls, or usage limits of the Service; resell or redistribute the Service without permission; or use the Service to build a competing product by scraping or bulk-extracting it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Not professional advice

The Service produces informational analysis and industry "rules of thumb." It is not financial, investment, accounting, tax, or legal advice, and no analyst-client or fiduciary relationship is created. Benchmarks and AI-generated narratives are estimates that can be incomplete or wrong. Always verify important figures against your source records and consult a qualified professional before making financial or legal decisions. You are solely responsible for decisions you make.

9. AI-generated output

Certain features use AI to generate benchmarks, narratives, recommendations, and to read ledger photos. AI output can contain errors or omissions and should be reviewed for accuracy. We do not warrant that AI output is complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, branding, and the "PlainSight — Insightful Actions" name and logo, is owned by PlainSight — Insightful Actions and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own business or personal purposes in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Alabaster Box's own words are yours to use. Everything Alabaster Box writes itself — its declarations, prayers and devotional readings, the sermons and speeches in the Pulpit, the text of Good News, and the rest of its own words — may be used, adapted, shared, preached, printed and built into your own work by anyone, free of charge, without asking and without credit. We only ask that it be used to share the Gospel in a way that honors it. This covers our own writing only: Scripture translations keep their own terms (the New Living Translation is copyrighted by Tyndale House Foundation; the World English Bible and the King James Version are in the public domain), the articles Good News links to belong to their publishers, and the videos, music, sermons and podcasts in the listening rooms belong to the people who made them. It does not cover PlainSight's software, name or logo.

11. PlainSight Comedy: scripts, licenses and downloads

The comedy page at plainsightai.app/comedy sells written material and practice time. What each purchase lets you do:

• Script packs and single scripts. A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to perform the material yourself, to adapt it for your own performances, and to keep the copies you download (a phone copy for offline use included). You may not resell, republish, post, share or distribute the scripts, or bundle them into anything sold.
• Bits from the Notebook. A license to perform one bit, sold in limited numbers: a shared license (at most 25 buyers of speech and toast material, at most 5 of material written for a comic's stage, then the bit closes), or an exclusive license where the writer offers one, after which no one else can buy it. The writer keeps the copyright and, unless the bit sold exclusively, keeps performing it. Writers who list bits do so under the Contributor Agreement.
• Sets on the Circuit Shelf. Practice use inside the PlainSight Stage only. They carry no right to perform the material for an audience, record it for release, publish, print or resell it, as the Circuit Shelf Agreement sets out.
• Drafts written for you ("Write it for me" and "Punch up mine"). What comes back is yours to use and change; we claim no ownership of it. It is AI-generated, so read it before you perform it: you are responsible for what you say on stage, including anything about real people.
• The Game Pass and other passes. Access to features of the Stage and its rooms, the Pulpit in Alabaster Box and PlainSight Games (plainsightai.app/games) for the time bought; the Art Pass, to The Easel (plainsightai.app/easel) for the time bought. A pass is not a license to any material.
• PlainSight Games. The games are for the Game Pass — the brain teasers' free sizes and the jigsaw's nine free boards are for anyone, and the jigsaw's other boards open with the Game Pass or the Art Pass. A new account may start one free fourteen-day pass, once; after it, the pass is bought by the month or the year, and a pass bought at any of the three doors is the same pass. The chips, points and scores in every game are play tokens: they have no cash value, are not sold or awarded for anything of value, and cannot be bought, won, exchanged or cashed out, so nothing in the games is gambling or a prize. Your games record — a bankroll of play chips the house stakes, wins and losses, badges and a level — is kept with your account; the level, badges and wins and losses are shown to the people you play, the chips to you alone, and we may reset or adjust a record that was gamed. At the Hold'em and Craps tables you choose your buy-in within the table's range: it leaves your bankroll as you sit down, and what is in front of you goes back when you get up (all of it, if no hand or roll was played through; a Sit & Go pays only at its end). Daily chips come once every twenty hours; a bankroll under 200 with nothing on a table may start over at the house's 5,000. Chips are never sold and cannot be passed between players. A public table — random play, or a table of your own you leave public — can be watched by anyone, signed in or not, who sees only what someone at the rail would (never anyone's hidden cards) and, unless they are a member of the community, sees the players by their level rather than their names; a person you send your table's link to may sit at that table without a pass of their own. Building a jigsaw together: setting out a table takes the Game Pass or the Art Pass, and anyone you invite builds free; the table is cleared away after three days untouched, and building together isn't a win or a loss on anyone's record. Playing people online is part of the community (section 11a) and its rules apply at every table; the invitation code and the seat's ticket are not to be shared beyond the people you invite. We may add, change or retire games, rooms and demos at any time.
• The Easel and the Art Pass. The painting room at plainsightai.app/easel is open to anyone with a starter kit (four brushes, three materials, two canvases, every palette and three saved works) and seven guided pieces. The Art Pass opens the rest: every brush, material, canvas and guided piece, painting from your own photo, the headset room and unlimited saved works. A new account may start one free seven-day Art Pass, once, with no card; after it the pass is bought by the month (a subscription that renews until you cancel it) or by the year (one payment for 365 days, which does not renew). The Art Pass is a pass of its own: it is not the Game Pass, and neither pass opens the other's rooms — save one overlap: the paid jigsaw boards on the Games page open with either pass. Your paintings are kept on your device, in your browser's own store, and are not sent to us unless you export them yourself; clearing that browser's data removes them, so export what you want to keep. Ask the tutor and Paint from words come with the Art Pass, a set number of times a day each; they are a painting guide's opinion and a reference picture, nothing more, and what each sends is said beside it and in the privacy policy. Paint together. A shared room's canvas is everyone's in it: up to four members of the community paint on it at once, the community's rules apply there as anywhere, and the person who opened the room may take a painter out, with every stroke of theirs, or close the room. Opening a room takes the Art Pass; coming in from its link or an invitation is free. A room's strokes are kept for a day after it was last used, then deleted; save a copy to keep. We may add, change or retire brushes, materials, pieces and rooms at any time.

A license is for performing, not for re-selling: performing licensed material at a paid show is fine, but selling or distributing the text is not. Refunds follow section 5. Questions about what a license covers: ps.insightfulactions@gmail.com.

11a. The community

Likes, follows, profiles, messages and live notices across PlainSight, the comedy site and Alabaster Box are one optional community. You must be 18 or older to join, and by joining you say you are. It is not open in Mississippi or Tennessee for now.

Your choices. Your account can be public (any member can follow you) or private (you approve each follower). You can switch the community off for your account at any time — the hearts, the bell and the badges disappear from all three sites and your profile is hidden until you turn it back on — or leave it, which deletes your community profile. Not joining at all is always an option, and nothing about you is kept for the community if you don't.

The rules. No harassment, bullying, hate or threats; no sexual content (photos and profile pictures the automatic check flags as sexual, violent or self-harm aren't delivered or shown); nothing sexual involving anyone under 18, ever; no intimate image of anyone without their consent; no pretending to be someone else; no spam. Messages from people someone doesn't follow wait in their Requests: respect a request that goes unanswered.

The Floor's chat. On PlainSight's trading desk, members can talk in a live chat beside the screen. Everything in this section applies there, and: it's for members only; messages are deleted after 24 hours; links are allowed, but no scams, phishing, malware or spam; nothing in the chat is investment advice, and you mustn't use it to promote a security you're paid to promote, to coordinate trades, or to spread something false to move a price; and don't post personal details, yours or anyone's. The desk can pin a note, slow the chat down, block words, take a message down, clear the chat and suspend. A message three members report comes off the chat until the desk decides.

Reports and what we do. Use Report on a profile (its picture included), a message, or something said in the Floor's chat. A person reads every report. We may take the content down, warn you (a line in your notifications), or suspend you, which stops everything in the community but leaving it. Apparent child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and the account is suspended.

Intimate images shared without consent come down within 48 hours of a valid request. A member can ask with Report → "An intimate image shared without consent". Anyone else can email ps.insightfulactions@gmail.com. A request needs four things: your physical or electronic signature (your typed full name will do); enough to find the image (a link, the member's name, the date it was sent); a short statement that you believe in good faith it was shared without the consent of the person in it, with anything that helps us see that; and an email address or phone number we can reach you at. You can ask for yourself or for someone you're authorized to act for.

Your words stay yours. You keep what you write and send. You let us store it and show it to the people you sent it to, and to the people who can see your profile, for as long as it's in the community. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted; the privacy policy says who can read what, and how long anything is kept.

11b. Folder alerts

On PlainSight's trading desk, folder alerts are snapshots of what moved — the wider market's movers and the tickers you list — sent at set times, 9:47 AM, 2:02 PM and 3:10 PM Eastern (on an early close, 9:47 AM and 12:20 PM), on the days our own economic calendar marks red or orange (red only, when the strip says so). None are sent on other days or on market holidays.

• Not advice. A snapshot reports prices against the threshold and levels you set. It isn't a recommendation to buy or sell anything and isn't personalized to your circumstances; it's one reading, the same for everyone, checked against each member's own settings. Section 8 applies.
• Prices. Prices are read from public quote pages at the time each message shows, and can lag the exchanges or be wrong. Check your broker's own quote before you act.
• Delivery. On the Floor while you're there, in your browser while the page is open (if you allow notifications), and on Telegram through our bot, @Folder_Alerts_bot, if you connect it. Delivery can be late or fail — Telegram, your device or our host can drop a message — and a missed message isn't refunded, except as below.
• The waitlist and share links. Joining is free and charges nothing. Passes go on sale when the list reaches the number on the strip. Each person who joins from your share link (a different account, counted once) earns you a free week, given when alerts switch on, or on the next folder day if they already have.
• Passes. One folder day $2.99, a week $7.99, a month (30 days) $19.99, a year (365 days) $149: one-time purchases through Stripe, not subscriptions — nothing renews. A pass starts on the next folder day, and the page you pay on shows its dates and how many folder days it covers; one bought while another runs starts after it. If a folder day passes with no snapshot read at all, every pass that covered it gets a day added. Otherwise section 5's refund terms apply.
• Leaving. Leave stops the snapshots and disconnects Telegram. Leave with a pass still to run and we keep it for you until it ends; join again and it's yours. Sending /stop to the bot disconnects Telegram.
• Changes. We may change the times, the days or the prices of future passes. A pass you've bought keeps the days it covers.

11c. Magazine issues

PlainSight hosts shops' magazines as digital editions at plainsightai.app/m/the-shop/. Each is for adults 21 and over and opens behind an age check. An issue is either free to read, by anyone with its link, or paid.

• A paid issue. Its cover, and any other pages its shop chose, are free to look at. To read the rest you sign in to a PlainSight account and buy it once, at the price shown, through Stripe; it is then kept on that account, and opens at the same address on any device where you are signed in to it. There is no separate download or second link, and an issue bought on one account does not open on another.
• Who sells it. PlainSight sells the issue and takes the payment; the shop that made it receives most of each sale. Your receipt comes from PlainSight.
• Refunds. A digital issue is final once bought, except where the law requires otherwise, or where we refund it — a duplicate purchase, say, or an issue that would not open for you. A refunded issue no longer opens on your account.
• Reading it. An issue is for your own reading. Its words and pictures belong to the shop that made it and the people it credits; please don't copy, share or republish them.
• Changes. A shop or PlainSight may correct an issue, change its price for future buyers, or take it offline. If we take an issue you bought offline for good, we'll refund it.

A shop that is paid for its issue does so under the payout terms for shops.

12. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party providers (including Clerk, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenAI, Cloudflare, Upstash, Vercel, Google, and, for folder alerts you connect to it, Telegram). Your use of those integrations may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services. The videos on PlainSight's desks (the Floor, the Doghouse, the CEO Desk and World News) play from YouTube in its own player, and the headlines beside the CEO Desk and World News link to their publishers' own pages; what they say is theirs, not ours, and we don't choose, edit or vouch for it.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS OR OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLAINSIGHT — INSIGHTFUL ACTIONS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlainSight and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and PlainSight agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida for any dispute not subject to other agreed dispute-resolution terms.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
